Description
Pictish Beastie Volume II is a blended whisky made from the remaining halves of the two single casks used for Volume I. A Deanston 10-year-old single malt finished for a year in a first-fill PX sherry, and a 12-year-old Cameronbridge single grain finished in an ex-GlenAllachie sherry butt for 7 months, split 50-50, and bottled at 59.2% batch strength.
TASTING NOTES
The nose offers freshly-baked vanilla cheesecake topped with toasted almonds, but this doesn’t prepare you for the intense richness of the palate!
Sweet, sticky toffee pudding combines with with zesty lemon meringue pie on the front before a looooooong finish…
