Macduff 13yo – Tri Carragh

Description

Distilled in 2010 and finished in a Rubino Marsala Red Wine cask for 15 months.

This is a tale of two drams – changing completely with water. Neat, this has aromas and palate of dark fruits. Blackberries, blackcurrant and also strawberries. The palate has the addition of dark chocolate and a peppery hit – could be that 61.8% ABV!

Reduced there are sweeter more tropical fruits that dominate and add to some vanilla and hints of strawberries. The reduced palate is juicy while still retaining all those rich berry flavours.
