Matured exclusively in Oloroso Sherry Butts from the area around the city of Jerez de la Frontera in Spain.
Bottled onsite at our unique Limited Edition strength of 49.4% ABV. Non Chill Filtered and No Added Colouring Maximum flavour, texture and character represented.
Independent, Family Run Distillery and local spirit – Locally Grown Fife Barley is Milled, Mashed, Fermented and Distilled on site at Lindores Abbey Distillery.
Distilling Methods – Long fermentation times in traditional wooden washbacks, coupled with distillation through our sister spirit stills has seen our New Make Spirit be granted with a Best In Scotland award.
Located in Newburgh in Fife on the South banks of the River Tay on the border of the Lowlands and Highlands. Set amongst the ruins of Lindores Abbey, known as the Spiritual Home of Scotch Whisky, associated with the earliest reference in Scotland to Aqua Vitae (the water of life) in 1494 which we now know as Whisky.
Tasting Notes: Colour: Mahogany | Nose: Reminiscent of dates, figs, molasses, vanilla cream, chocolate ganache, and hints of cinnamon
Palate: Charms with soft notes of raisins, date syrup, molasse, and dark chocolate ganache paired with nutty walnuts and spicy cinnamon. Smooth texture
Finish: Medium to long.
