Bowmore 27yo – Tri Carragh

Description

The nose is initially floral and sweet with lavender and Parma Violets. This is followed by sticky barbeque sauce smothered over grilling ribs, smoked over a charcoal fire with a hint of sweet tobacco. The first taste, neat, is chewy and meaty. The smoked barbeque flavours continue along with a spicy notes of red peppercorns. Hints of cherry to finish. Water brings the smoke to the forefront along with an increase in delicious sweetness. On the reduced palate the complexity of flavour only increases with floral notes appearing on the taste with hickory sauce (maple wood sweetness).. mouthwatering!
